This past month I was blessed to be able to go to Haiti on a missions trip.
Haiti is a beautiful mountainous country....
... but the people really suffer from a lack of resources especially after the devastating earth quake in 2010.
Because of this, many people are living in houses made from things they found on the street and tents. My aunt and I went over for tree weeks to help with a women's retreat, a building project, and anything else the missionaries gave us to do.
In Haiti the power is on only from about 2 in the afternoon till 2 in the morning. But on our first night the power company ran out of fuel and the lights went out so we walked around with flash lights for the rest of the evening. :)

Women checking in to the camp for the retreat.
My two fiends... :)
I was also given the opportunity to speak to about 70 girls at the Christian school about abstinence. These girls are bombarded with so much impurity everyday, this was something new for many of them.
With some friends in an ice cream shop trying to get an internet connection.
One of the ministries of the church is a radio station. They play music and sermons during the day and then sermons all night long for the people who might be awake at night not able to sleep because of all the troubles surrounding them.
I also was able to help out with the building project going on at the christian school. The school adds a new grade every year and need more room to accommodate their students.
Some friends :D
Our last week in Haiti my aunt and I taught a bible study through the book of James to some neighbors. What a blessing to be with these people!
Please pray for the people in Haiti that God would make Himself know to them in their dark culture of voodooism and that they would turn to Christ and His beauty.
