Being New Yorkers we tend to complain about the winter up here. But what (now get ready for this) if we viewed it as a blessing? No really. Think of how much more we appreciate spring when it does come. Perhaps God sends us depressing winters so that we can rejoice all the more when spring arrives and nature comes to life again. What do you all think? It reminds me of being dead in sin and then being made alive though Christ Jesus.

Jesus is all the world to me,
My Friend in trials sore;
I go to him for blessings,
and He gives then o'er and o'er.
He sends the sunshine and the rain
He sends the harvest's golden grain,
Sunshine and rain harvest of grain,
He's my Friend.

Good post, Caroline ;) Things in life are so much sweeter when we can't have them for awhile. Because when we finally do, it's so much more special. I live on the mission field in Europe, and things I took for granted in America, I sometimes can't get or have here. But now I'm thankful for those things, and over-all, have learned to be more grateful for what God has given me.

I would have to agree with you. There is new life everywhere you look. There are more bright sunny days. Spring is definitely my favorite time of the year.

Love the post, Caroline. Spring always reminds of the promise God made to Noah after the flood, that there would be springtime and harvest. I would agree with Kevin that springtime is mt favorite time of year. Everything is so fresh and new:)
Happy Valentines Day!!
