Canning Day

Preparing tomatoes....
More tomatoes and jalapeno peppers for salsa! Our little cook looking after the tomato sauce.
Yum! Salsa!

Taking a break while we wait for the salsa to cook.
Some peaches we did the same day.
Notice the lovely new color on the walls!
I think our proud rooster likes his new home.
Have a good evening everyone.

Here We Are!

Dear friends, we are finally moved in and are so thankful. God has truly blessed us though our church family who helped us on moving day.
(which I don't have pictures of because my camera was packed)

More pictures to come. Right now we're doing some serious painting. :)

Lord's Day

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace,
One in Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God!

If We're Still on Speaking Terms...

Dear Blog,

I'd like to apologize for how neglected you've been. I hope you are not taking this to heart. Please blame summer. He's keeping me rather busy, and I hardly think it's fair to blame ME. I mean, be reasonable. The fact that I haven't even been visiting you for the past couple weeks should not be taken personally at all. However, the fact that you are still here and still let me use my password to get into you says much about your ability to forgive and forget. No hard feelings?
................
*ahem* No hard feelings???
Ok, we'll work on that hard feelings part.

Your Not-So-Devoted Friend,
Lydia
